Just as there are mobile applications to identify insects, mammals, and birds, there are also a variety of apps that will help you uncover your inner botanist. Here is a list of several of these sites, which will allow us to know the type of flora that surrounds us.

iKnow Trees 2 LITE

This is an app that allows you to learn about trees located in Europe and North America. It has a library of more than 200 species of trees, and about 2000 images with extensive descriptions and the names of the trees in 7 languages. It also has the scientific name of each species.

TreeApp

This is an application that includes 118 species of wild trees located on the Iberian Peninsula in Europe. Each species has a distribution map, a brief description and one or more photographs. In addition to being able to identify the tree species, you can also know their scientific information, as well as curiosities and legends that surround these species. It works without an internet connection.

Treezilla

Like the first two apps, Treezilla has a unique database for UK tree species. What is new is that it tells you about the ecosystem services of each species and a map of the distribution of trees on the British island.

Pl@ntNet

With Pl@ntNet you only have to upload an image, and select whether it is a flower, a tree, a leaf, or a fruit. It is one of the most complete, since it has a database with more than 4,000 species. It can show you which one your photo matches the most, in addition to the name, family and geographic area to which it belongs.
